Is swapping an OM602 turbo diesel into a petrol 190E worth it?

Tempted by the indestructible diesel reputation. Has anyone done the OM602 turbo swap into a car that came as a petrol? Worth the effort?

It's a known swap but it's not trivial: different subframe mounts, wiring, fuel system and you'll want the diesel rear axle ratio. If you specifically want a 5-cyl turbodiesel, buy a 190D 2.5 Turbo to start with rather than converting a petrol car.
